I am currently looking at new ways to visualise a project live. I am currently editing raw photo files in audacity, creating abstract glitch images and art noise sound pieces.

What I am trying to figure out is whether if I were to use Pure Data would I be able to input the raw data from an image and create a sound through Pure Data that I could edit and perform live?

Also whether I could use this process to create an image or video still that is a result of the live processed raw data.

If this is possible could you let me know and better still are there similar projects that have been done?

Thanks for your advice. The noise I getting at the moment is glitchy however I figured that maybe through pd I would be able to manipulate it possibly a little better. I will experiment with different files and see what I am able to achieve.

As for the images I have been creating I have had to keep the header of the image file as this allows the image to not get too corrupted. It might end up being a combination of various softwares but feel it may result in the works I am imagining.
