Firstly although I am a sound designer I am new to PD and have yet to use it in my practice so please excuse my ignorance.

I want to create a piece where 6-8 mics are placed under flooring to collect the sounds of passers by, I'd like those 6-8 sources to go into PD via multichannel soundcard. I'd like to run a few patches which would mess with the sound in (granulators, pan shifting etc) and run automated parameters so the whole thing worked without a human present.

I'd like to know if this is possible and if so whether a complete beginner could figure it out (or at least be pointed in the right direction). I have all the kit, just not the knowledge.

Any info would be ace.
