Hi, not really off topic, but it didn't really fit into the other topics...

Anyone know if there is such a thing as a Max/MSP to PD dictionary for people like me who are in the process of converting from max to pd? I'm thinking like 'send~ = throw~' and so on. If it does not exist we could maybe start one up in the PDWikiWiki. It would sure be useful.. Especially as many learn Max through academics and then end up having to buy it because that is what they're used to.

I could not load the externals from the "extra" directory, so I wrote the name of the directory in 'path...' preferences. I must have written something wrong (a "\" instead of "/" maybe?) because now nothing has changed and I can't even access the 'path...' preference menu.

What makes it stranger is that I can't access the 'path...' preference menu even after reinstalling pd.

This has happened both in WinXP and Linux (ubuntu).

Is this all very strange or am I plain silly?

It almost seems a bit of a touchy subject at times, comparing max and pd

I'll leave it a week or two, and see if anyone else responds in the forum, and then set up a wiki.

..does anyone know what registry files to delete, or which belongs to pd?
