    Hi everyone,
I hope I post this in the right topic.

I have a patch that acts as a simple granular file player and I faced a little problem. When I set a grain size smaller than certain threshold some kind of pops and clicks appears. After some trials I found that those clicks have nothing to do with processing power, with envelope retriggering or something like that. Pops are closely related to the density of grains and appear when overlapping occurs. I'm really don't understand how that can happen — time between each voice retriggering calculated that way, so one grain ends and the next starts. In theory, even if they have a small overlap — there is an envelope (I've tried Hann and Blackman window functions) and everything has to be smooth, right?

Below is attachment with patch, where all parameters are initialized that way, so you can hear clicks right away. Also I've notice that if I delete two grain voices — first and third, or second and fourth, then everything is smooth and works just as planned.

    Any ideas?
    Cheers!
