Hello, I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestion for Cameras.

I’ve tried a couple prosumer HD camcorders - SONY EX3, and A1U. However the image is not great. It could be the down convert through i.Link via FireWire(?).

Now I am using Logitech c910 (1080p) webcam and it looks much better. Worried the auto focus will cause a problem though.

Does any have any camera recommendations?

    What have you tried?

    THANKS

    Hello!

Here is what i’m trying to do:

    -Camera connected to PD.
    -Live feed is displayed.
-5 minutes later, mixed overtop of the live feed, the video/”live feed” starts playing form the beginning, from 5 minutes ago

Basically i just want the live feed to loop back over itself from 5 minutes previous.

I'm using pix_delay but after i can only push the delay to a couple minutes before it crashes.

anyone have any ideas for this?

    Thanks for you help!

    Hey all.

Basically i want to be able to adjust the frame rate or refresh rate of a live video, or something to that effect. i don't want to show the frames in sequence like if you adjust the frame rate to a movie, i just want to the adjust the rate at how often the frame refreshes...

My failed attempt was to adjust the rate of a metro toggling 1 & 0 into gemhead but that is more like a strobe effects as it is image, black, image, black, etc..

Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

    THANKS!!

    Hey,

I'm working on a patch for a show that is to trigger something every half hour during gallery hours.

I started by building a clock using the metro and cup object - counting seconds, to minutes to 24 hours. Then i used [sel] to select every half hour during the times i wanted.

I'm worried that if it crashes and I, or someone else, needs to restart the patch my clock will start at midnight, and it likely will not be.

Thought if i could get the time from the computer it would always be accurate.

    Any thoughts would be helpful.
    THANKS!!

Hi, I have a pretty simple gem patch; basically a live feed of a room using a webcam, and when there is movement in the room, a wave like ripple effect is triggered.

I can't figure out how to get rid of a strobe like flicker that is happening...

I've attached the patch. Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Thanks

    Hello,

I would like to setup a webcam, and receive the video a few blocks away. No audio. Nothing fancy.

Does anyone have an idea how to do this?

I've been trying netsend and receive but not having any luck. I thought to pack and unpack it might work but i'm not sure if I did that properly.

I've read a few threads that came up when searching here but they all seem to be asking something slightly different, or more advanced.

    THANKS A LOT

    think i got it...

pix_record is the way to go for longer delays. i've had some issues with record in the past, but it's working great.

just timed it to stop recording and load into pix_film half a sec later.

    cheers
