    Hi,
    I have a patch looking something like this:

    [gemmouse] <=== puts out X-Value of the cursor in Gem Window
    |\
    | \
    | \
    | \
    [>] [<] <=== setting boundaries
    | /
    | /
    | /
    [- ]
    |
    [== 0]
    |
    so here I get "1" every time the cursor is inside the boundaries.

    Now I want to have a "Bang" every time the [== 0] puts out a "1" (only then). So I tried putting a [sel 1] after it, but unfortunatly the Bangs created by the [>] and [<] objects are passed on too! so I get also Bangs, when the cursor is already inside the boundaries and just moves a little.

    Is there a way to filter out Bangs, so that I only get the numeric values? Something with [t f b]?

    Hello,
    I wonder, if it's possible to catch a part (or even several parts) of the regular screen contend and display it inside the Gem Window.

    I have two screens. One is showing Ableton live, the other the gem window. I'd like to "copy" the Level-meters from ableton into the gem window.

    Or do you think, it would be easier to stream the audio-cahnnels (at least 8) back into pd to create meters analyzing the levels with pd? I am afraid this would introduce major latency ad use more cpu, than just capturing some pixels?

    kind regards

    I got the hint, that there might be some way with Gridflow. By now I am going through the gridflow tutorials and docs.

    could it have something to do with x11 as input? I am not sure if I understand this, does this exist on windows? http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2011-08/090514.html

    edit:
    ok, found a way - or maybe more a work-around using the VH Screen Capture Driver (http://www.splitmedialabs.com/media-toolkits/vh-video-sdk/vh-screen-capture)

    On Mac you could use Jack, on Windows MidiYoke. Just set the right output in ableton and the right Input in PD and you'll receive midi data through the "ctlin" object.

    I also had similar problems with midi. Well, I tried to send midi the other way (from a hardware-controller to pd to ableton via midiyoke and Loopbe). It seemed like the midi data comming into PD got stuck after a few minutes and later it got all confused...
    I also got a message like "Midiin is dangerous on windows". That was with PD extended. Today I tried vanilla and it did seem to work! I'm still testing but it looks good.
