The CICM is pleased to announce the new releases of the Cream Library (v0.4) and the HOA library (v2.2) for Pure Data.
The HOA library (High Order Ambisonics) is a collection of C++ classes destined to sound spatialization.
The HOA library allows musicians and composers to synthesize, transform and render sound fields in a creative and artistic way. It aims facilitating the understanding and the appropriation of key concepts of Ambisonics. It offers original processings like diffuse sound field synthesis, perspective distortion or spatial filtering and new graphical interfaces. The library is available for Pure Data, Max, openFramework, FAUST and as VST plugins.
The HOA library is free, open-source and made available by the CICM, the centre of research on musical composition and computer science of the University Paris 8.
The project has been developed as a part of the LABEX Arts H2H at the MSH Paris-Nord and the plate-forme Arts-Sciences-Technologies.
Some updates and new features : new binaural rendering, new tutorials, exchanger for Ambisonics data format, optimizations, etc.

For developers, the CICM Wrapper has been updated and offers a new documentation with examples. For your information, the CICM Wrapper is a C/TK library that aims to facilitate the creation of objects for Pure Data. One of the main axis is the creation of graphical user interfaces. It also facilitates the implementation of dynamics multichannels processings and it improves the compatibility with Max.

Le CICM est heureux d'annoncer la nouvelle version de la bibliothèque Cream (v0.4) et de la bibliothèque HOA (v2.2).
La bibliothèque HOA (High Order Ambisonics) est une collection de classes C++ destinées à la spatialisation du son.
La bibliothèque HOA permet aux musiciens et compositeurs de synthétiser, transformer et restituer des champs sonores de façon créative et artistique.
