I apologize if this is a novice question, just got into pure data 2 days ago.

So every time I load a pure data sketch some numbers that I need to hold their value all reset back to zero. Is it possible for me to turn on a function so that the numbers I have changed hold their value after I save and reopened my sketch? I'd like to open pd and get into the heat of things as quick as possible.

use the numberbox2 from the 'put' menu. Right click on it to get 'properties' and set to 'init'.

copy and paste as many times as you need.

makes sure you save your patch before closing pd.
