Or you could try Linux. 7 out of 10 houswives prefer its superior shine.
And it goes vey well with Pd.
Andy
Use the Source.
haha.....7 out of 10 houswives ....Yeah, i really want to try Linux! it will be a huge adventure for me because i have no idea Linux
i think Linux is for some people who have many computers or want to make programs etc... but i can't use my notebook just for PD unfortunately..

you can use different partitions of your harddisk with different operating systems - or even use a bootable linux-os
I can report back to you tomorrow if PD works on vista. I'm have it loaded on a separate partition. The problem is that I am running the 64-bit version of vista so if there are any problems that may be the reason. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Sande,
I'm on vista now and I just tried out PD. It seems that everything can and will work. There's clicking happening with the audio but I think that may have to do with my soundcard in relationship to vista (no 64-bit driver yet), and not PD itself. Also, I found you can't open pd files from the browser (examples). You must go to 'open' in order to load files. I did not try PD-extended.
Ok,
i will try to install Pd-extended on vista first.
Thank you for your help
Hi
I installed Pd on vista, Gem worked on vista execpt this(GL: invalid enumerant) so il reinstalled Pd on xp but the problem de GL have arrived like GL: invalid enumerant
that was not a problem de vista.... i didn't have any problem ; GL before
how can i operate this?
thanks again
Using pd on vista. I also ran across problems.
1. the audio settings are changed everytime i close the program and start it back up. when i set up the audio again. it knock the latency setting for my m-audio drivers all the way back to 4096.
2. midi in does not work. i know it works on my system because it works perfectly fine in ableton live.
i've also had zero troubles running pd on xp. so i know it can work on my system. it just seems incompatible with vista.
you could use pure:dyne too if you want, it's got everything you need pre-installed and you can run it off a cd if you want
Oops! Looks like something went wrong!
