I am developing a synthesizer and I would like to emulate the harmonic change of an Ebowed guitar.
I don't know how to explain this correctly but if you listen to the sound of an Ebowed guitar, you can notice the harmonic contents of the sound changes naturally. for example, the first time when Ebow touches the string, it sounds like a normal pitch. but soon after it is sustained, it seems to gradually change to its higher harmonic content (maybe an octave higher).
So I would like to ask you guys how to simulate this kind of effect in PD.
I'm thinking maybe an additive synthesis could do this but is there any other simpler way to do this? I've already made oscillator part and I would like to apply the Ebow effect after taking the signal of my oscillator.
