In the documentation for the "envelope follower" (env~) it says that "The analysis is Hanning windowed." (please see the attachment)
I believe that calculating the RMS amplitude does not require any non-linear windows such as Hann (this is used fot PSD and FFT, isnt it???)...? I firmly believe that the analysis should be rectangular windowed!
Please help, I am totally confused!
