Is it possible to add externals to the "Application" version of Pd-0.38 for OS X?
Further to this has anyone managed to get comparser~ to work in any version of Pd for OS X.

Newbie question: externals in Pd-0.38 os x
-
hey, where did you get 0.38 from? i tried to download it from miller's site, (http://www.crca.ucsd.udu/~msp/software.html)
but nothing happened, all i got was some 14kb file that won't open.
anyone know how to get it going? -

thanks daniel. got it now from hans. the one on miller's site really doesn't work for me. not sure why? i wonder if anyone else had this problem???
i'm assuming 99.9% that it's gonna be possible to get externals working with the app. version, just give me 5 minutes and i'll see if it works.... -
ok, it's obviously not as simple as i thought. damn. will keep trying and let you know if i find out how to do it, or if possible at all.

control click on the .app and select show package contents and try putting it in the extra folder. it worked for me for gem but it was a bit buggy.

ah ok....great,,,thanks ealx.
there seem to be quite afew bugs i have found so far. i guess that's why it's still in the development stage and not a proper release yet.
i'm gonna register for the mailing list, and share my concerns there. -
i think gem is being worked on now so it works properly with pd 0.38...might just have to wait a little while for it though.

thanks for the help, I shall see if comparser~ works with this version .
