I installed pd-exteneded 0.43 on my iMac and tried to create a patch that reads a sound file into an array. 'read' will not turn into an object and reports 'Couldn't create' (see attached patch). I'm following various examples on youtube, etc. and have verified that other patches (ex. drum-machine at http://www.nullpointer.co.uk/content/pure-data-patches/) do work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
