I hope the subject explains problem, but I'm trying to get my patch to take the number at the end of the abstraction (breakbeat-kick 36), and in the abstraction open a .wav file with that number and store it in an array with that number aswell.

In an abstraction you can read argument in sending a bang in a [float $1] if you're first argument is a float. If you're 2nd argument is a symbol use [symbol $2] etc.

so, simply replace [symbol $1( by [float $1] and it wil works.
