I am currently writing a piece for 2 guitars and live electronics.
In one of its sections I would like to emulate with pd a loop pedal - like the DigiTech JamMan Stereo Looper JML2 Performance Loop Pedal for example http://www.zzounds.com/item--DGTJML2

Do you guys have any ideas how I could do it in a nice way?

Not to bother, but did you consider using an dedicated program to do such things and exange audio(and midi) between to Pd and such an application? If you are using linux or macosx, the open source program sooperlooper (http://essej.net/sooperlooper/download.html)is ready for you to play with. (Jack sound server seems to be mandatory).

You can create as many audio out/in you want in Pd very easily.

Anyway if you really need to do it yourself you will find inspiration searching this forum.
