I am a uber new PD user and am having a problem getting my project to work. I don't know if you call it a patch or not so I will post there as well incase I am in the wrong area. So here's the skinny. I am making a mood music player (kind of) and am using a thermistor to measure temperature and then converted that temp reading to analog reading so PD could read it. My arduino and breadboard wiring is in tact and I am getting readings since I checked it in Arduino program. I made basic if else statements in PD within parameters for the temp to correlate with a mood and then trigger a song to play. However, all the songs are triggering or something. They are not playing but all the pots are turning back and forth from 1 to 0 so on and off but the error messages I'm getting are no method for panterawalk.aiff and start requested with no prior open. That's for all the songs. A lil help anyone?

That's because you're using readsf~ which needs a file to be opened each time you want to play it. Try with tabread~ or tabread4~ and a table for each sample. They will store the sample into a table to be played anytime.
