I'm working on a patch and I'm nearly finished. The problem i'm trying to iron out is: every time i move a volume fader or any other fader by that matter I get clicks and zipper noise. I know that you can use Line~ to do this but i'm struggling to find a way. Any help is appreciated.

Im trying your patch. Don't forget that your slider should go from 0 to 1, otherwise you will get major distortion

There is a LOT a distortion stages in there ! I removed most stages and left only 3, it works well and distort in a more nicely manner.
Basically, wherever you see a thin cable going into a signal box, you should put something inbetween like the attached abstraction to smooth the number flow.

Thanks, I've redone the patch to get rid of the zip and some of the saturation stages.
I'm still getting clicks when i turn audio on\off and bang a saturation curve to the dsat table. I'm thinking of adding a hi pass filter control for each of the tape heads.
Also does anyone know of a limiter abstraction I can use on output.
 Thanks

I guess that clicks on dsp on/off are normal. When you bang a new saturation curve, you instantly multiply your audio so i'd say it's normal too. You can make a very efficient limiter with [clip~]

 Here is the finished patch.
