Hi Guys,

I'm tweaking some values controlling the [boids] object for spatialisation purposes. I am wondering if anyone is aware of any limit to the values the [boids] object can receive for attraction and inertia or for any of the available parameters for that matter?

Hi Ricky:
I didn't particularly test which were the limits but I am sure that the walls were surpassed. Since I needed the boids movement for spatialisation and they were working, I didn't go any further on that topic.
I took a part of ctrl-b/nusmuk/spatialisation-help.pd and a part of ctrl-b/boids/boids2d-help.pd and made a spatialisation part of a patch. I hope it helps.

Hey man. Of course! I will post anywhere. Thanks for the patch. I have come to the same conclusion whereby limits exist (somewhere). I like your hack, but the GEM render doesn't seem to be reflecting the movement here? I will have another look at it now. I just wanted to check that it is working with you?

Found the issue. The outlet from [pd controlspread] was coming out of the right outlet of the [boids] object, not the left. GEM render working fine now.

Oops! I just took the parts from an unfinished (and awfully untidy) patch and didn't check if it was really working. I've sent it to you from the lab, at work Seems that a horizontal wire was coming from the left outlet and I just mistook it. Sorry, mate.
I'll be on the line for a record then.
