im having hearing anything
i cant get a sound if i make a basic oscillator or with the audio test
im very new to this
any ideas?
near as i can tell my soundcard works just fine

are you using ALSA or JACK... what distro.. have you turned on the audio engine in PD.. do other apps on your computer make sound.
