i am a complete newb.

i have down loaded the pure data program from http://puredata.info/downloads. i have installed it onto my system but it does not seem to work. when i click on the icon to start up the program it simply does not load up.

does anyone have any advise?

What mac and what version of PD? Also, make sure to get pd extended - go to sourceforge as puredata.info seems to be down.
