Ok so i have just installed pd on panther, everything is up and running.
I have been wanting to learn to program for audio for a while now but I must admit I know nothing. I think I understand the concept but I want to get started on building simple patches.
can anybody suggest a good tutorial to get me started?
basically something that can guide me step by step to create some sort of noise making device.

Advice for a newbie

try the help pd-drums.
I don't remember the way, but search with the name : pd-drums, footils, angriff, drumcenter. You will see the main folder.
So you have the tutorial alreday installed normally.
see the html tutorial -
cool this helps
do you know of anywhere where i can get a glossary of commands and a brief description of what they do? I'm looking for this in the manual that came with it and there doesn't seem to be one. -
1. right click on each object give the specific help
2. see Pd documentation, 5. reference the text file 0.INTRO.txt
for specific librairie included in Pd 0.37 extended installation :
3. see Pd documentation, 5. reference, help-zexy : 0.INTRO.txt
4. see Pd documentation, 5. reference, help-maxlib: 0.INTRO.txt -
and if you want to learn to be the DSP master go here:

and learn from the master himself.
