Like in MAX?

I could have sworn I saw one in an example in pd-extended, but I have looked and looked and maybe I hallucinated it...I dont see it again.

I started trying to make one with canvases...then searched here and found someone else had tried and become totally frustrated. so I am just going to ask, or I am asking...

I haven't used this in a while, so I don't remember if it's any good. But if it isn't enough, maybe it will be a good starting point.

Or try mine! Some of my limitations are it is read only, and it only really needs to be one 8ve, as you can stack them.

by the way that abbreviation '8ve' is pretty standard in classical music...but here is something weird, when people want to say two octaves, they sometimes write '15v'I never understood why it would not be 16v instead!

Anybody know which library the 'countto' object belongs to? Its part of the keyboard.mnb patch above...looking at it, it looks like it could be replaced with...something...will remember later, when I can look at these in detail. Now I must pretend to work. Thanks again for the quick responses!

yeah, i think it's similar to counter, but I made this before I learned about counter and just kept the bad practice.
