I'm trying to work out how to get the metro to retrigger at the end of a note. That is: The metro gets banged with a random number every 1000 milliseconds, which will dictate the tempo, and in my patch, also the length of notes.

What I would like to work out is if I can get the metro to retrigger at the same time as that random number length. e.g if the number is 67, then then another random number will retrigger 67 milliseconds later... rather than always every 1000 milliseconds.

I hope that makes some sense? I've attached a patch to show you what I have at the moment. Thank you for any help

If I understand correctly, you can just replace the [metro 1000] with a [delay] and feed it with the lower [random 100]. Just bang the remaining [metro] to start, and send the [stop( message to the [delay] as well to stop.
