Hello all,
I wonder what sorts of other audio software you all use in addition to Pure Data,.. and your experiences with using them in concert with, and/or in comparison to, PD.
Thanks in advance for all responses.

Ardour is great for recording your pd sessions. For working with samples, give Hydrogen and specimen a try.
Audacity for editing samples before using them in Pd, and for editing Pd recordings.
Ardour to splice Pd recordings together with other stuff.
And recently I've started using Rosegarden to control Pd patches through JACK. It's a lot of fun.
ableton live is actually quite nice if you're willing to put up with the commercial bullshit aspect.
For creating remixes and fun stuff its very intuitive
pd and analogue synths
Not working for a long time with both programs, so don't count on me much:
Pd + Quartz Composer (with the Kineme stuff of course)

It's in a pre-alpha state, but the project is very ambitious.
I'm not really making getting stuff that i really want to play to other people at the moment.
will post some when i do though
I use ProTools, Soundhack, Reaktor, primarily... and learning Pd and Metasynth. I love everything I use, or I wouldn't use it! I used to use Ableton, Cubase, Nuendo, Audacity, and some other stuff... haven't played live in over a year and have since sold off all my hardware/analog stuff.

I made a PD patch that output midi through chns 1-5, i. e, [noteout 1 ... 5].
I try to record them on Rosegarden (RG). But all channels are sent to one midi track on RG. All that I want is to rec them separetly on each RG track.
Any help will be appreciated!

I use it all, love it all for different reasons. Ableton, PD, Max, Pro-Tools, Audacity - I have a 2 suitcase analogue modular, a few polys, and drum machines about.
PD and MIDI Yoke or the IAC bus work well for Ableton remote control. Ableton has Max4Live so that's simple, Pro-Tools I just use for straight up recording nothing fancy or too creative.
that's a sort of a cycle that i use:
pd patch for drum sound layering --> ardour for effects on the sounds --> hydrogen for beat sequencing --> pd for beatloop playback, sampling/looping and synthesis --> ardour again for recording the session
