no prizes for guessing which band's sound i was ripping off, but i had a jam yesterday with some old and some new parts of my DIY library. i will put out an update of that in the coming months i guess. just need to iron out a few more bugs. all vanilla now too.

However, i'm glad there's no prize for guessing the band, because to be honest i wouldn't know which one you have in mind - although ae / gescom come close...

drums are just analogue-style subtractive synthesis, plus noise. the rhythm of the bass drum was hooked into the filter cutoff of the snare drum, and the rhythm of the snare drum was controlling the pitch of the bass drum.

i totally thought the sound was a cheapo autechre ripoff, but if it's not that bad, i am happy.
