Here's a virutal midi keyboard for pd. It works only if the virtual keyboard window has the focus. See the help patch for details.

It is designed for french layout because it is the only keyboard I have. Adapting it to other layouts should be easy (it is just a matter of a few key numbers routing) and some help to create some pdkb-qw version would be very much appreciated.

did anyone tryed it with qwerty ? white keys should be between "a" and ";" and black ones on the corresponding keys of the upper line. If not, I would need the key number of "a" and ";" to post a qwerty version.

nice abstraction

a looong while ago i tried to make a wrapper for the keyinput system keykontrol
it has the feature to make your own keyboard layout... and even switch between different ones... currently it supports only qwertz (german) but it is really easy to make others... only the people have to do it
with this you could make your patch independent of the hassle to care about different layouts

if someone is interested i'll upload the current slightly fixed version
