does anyone know if there is a vanilla way to get the size of an array (or a table)!?
Since [arraysize] isn't vanilla, maybe something like data-structures and stuff like [getsize] can work. But I never dealt with those [pointer]s and so on..
Another approach: One can even make the array print its "length" to the console ( [print(---[s arrayXY] )... So is there a way to get this back from console?? ..or some other messages to send??..

...included in vanilla Pd but it is not really vanilla in terms of the license...

Is there a difference between those arrays (or tables) and these "datastructure-arrays", or is it the same thing but at different "levels"?!
..cause if it was, one could address the "normal" arrays by using datastructure-stuff, i hope...

Yeah, unfortunately, they aren't related. I know what you mean, though. I've always wanted to be able to read/write into a data structure array using audio objects.

You can, if you go through an array in the way... But not the best/easiest technique.
