I have tried many times and asked quite a few people for advice on this, but I'm still failing to get a patch to open on startup.
I'm kind of desperate for help at this point as I have a show opening on Friday which is running PD and needs to open on startup.
I checked the path on terminal for the patch I want to load and it told me it was:
/Users/georgehiggs/Documents/Evolvaphone/A\ drafts/evolvaphoneperformancenew1.pd
My first question was why there was a backslash after the 'A' on 'A drafts, as there is none on the folder name, but there is a space.
I tried taking out this backslash, then replacing it with an underscore, and still I get this error message:

consistency check failed: sys_decodedialog: \{+open-+_/Users/georgehiggs/Documents/Evolvaphone/A+_drafts/evolvaphoneperformancenew1.pd\}
error: .inputBox.txtInput: no such object

I'd be so grateful for any help, as I've checked the old posts but can't find any help for this specific issue.

the backlash is there to tell it that the space following it is to be considered part of the file/folder name.

Another option is to put it in double-quotes:
"/Users/georgehiggs/Documents/Evolvaphone/A drafts/evolvaphoneperformancenew1.pd"

Then you don't need the backslash

I tried to use the back slash, and literally cut and pasted from the terminal window again, but still the error reads:
open- /Users/georgehiggs/Documents/Evolvaphone/A_drafts/evolvaphoneperformancenew1.pd: can't load library
I didn't use the underscore when I entered it, but instead used backslash space, just as in the terminal window.
Can you think of any other suggestions to try?
