For some reason the following operators could not be created.
[ >~] , [<~] , [==~] , [&&~], [ ||~ ]
I am using PD 0.40.3 -extended running on a 2.2Ghz macbook, OSX 10.5.6.
Everything should be in the correct places as when I use the browser to look through the libraries it finds the help file but not the object. Everything else seems to be working [sgn~], [abs~] ect. I have found the darwin files within the extras folder. Not really too sure where to go from here.

Any clues ??

pd-extended broke zexy into lots of little pieces, which stops zexy from working properly. try using [expr~ $v1>$v2] etc until hans fixes it

There's a problem with these on the mac version of 0.40.3. I managed to make it work on a PC, doing some twiddling on the install and location of the libraries. I've also tried a pre release of 0.41.4 and still doesn't work on a mac, so you can either go back to 0.39.3 (which is what I've done on my tiger/ppc mac) or use the expr~ route.

Would it not be possible to convert the audio signal into normal float and then back again Am not at home so cannot experiment myself at the moment. Just had the idea and was wondering what you guys think ?

I've tried that, but it doesn't really work. I haven't tried too hard, though...

Converting it to a float message doesn't work because the message system is seperate from the signal system. It is not continuous, and would require banging a [snapshot~] at the sampling rate. As far as I know, this can't be done.

you can see the problem if you you have a look in the extras folder inside the Pure data package (on osx). Inside the zexy folder there are a bunch of files called for example '0x7c0x7c0x7e.pd_darwin'. These are the result of the the build process not handling the characters........i THINK but its not a process i fully understand.

Theres 12 in all. 6 for abstractions and 6 for binary versions. If you can be arsed, then you can rename them to the corresponding operator. Personally I've been using [expr~]
