does gem support writing movies to file?
documentation says no, but i am hoping an external might exist

There is a way to record mov with pdp, there is a pdp2gem gem2pdp object that could permit this, i have not test it yet, i'll have a look.

I use to capture my videos made by gem with pix_write which is recording picture by picture and after I mount all the pics in a video editor.
