Is there a way to audition samples when you are using the openpanel/soundfiler dealy? I have been going all this time opening samples without hearing them first and it would be cool if i could listen to them while the soundfiler window is open. I don't know if this is a setting outside of Pd, like an OS setting. (i'm using mac OSX) I know you can listen to things from the Finder window, but i'm not getting that option when opening samples in Pd.

i don't think that is possible without someone hacking the openpanel code.

but, another option to consider might be to ditch the openpanel and use the [playlist] external. it makes it much easier to scroll through samples. doesn't work for windows users though.
