I appreciate its a dirty word round here, and not all of you give a hoot about Ableton, so I m going to talk dirty: Is there a way of doing this for Pd? I guess the instant reply is going to be 'use Jack' and IAC for midi. Yes it works, but being subject to latency, its not totally integrated (at least in my experience, maybe i havent set it up correctly!)

Now that LiveAPI has been released, maybe there's this possibility, or even creating using Pd in 'plugin' mode somehow, so that its hosted in whatever program you use. The thing i found most interesting was the possiblity of using the sequencer as the score, and Max as the orchestra.

So 'how' would this be possible?

mmm, ken, care to elaborate on using PD as a vst?

I tried it out once with pdvst (don't remember where i got it). I got a pd patch working in flstudio, but the work that had to be done was rather dodgy and cumbersome. And if i remember correctly, it didn't support the standard tcl/tk gui so i had to redo it with GrIPD. But it worked...
