This looks great Kenn. I'll have a great fun dissecting it and modifying it. I'm having trouble getting it to do anything remotely predictable though. And I get that gritty noise far too often

Righty, simply removing the pd control abstraction and having one of the random values be triggered at the start of a 'space-bar' trigger' makes it lovely and musical!

I will definitely be including this in my live rig when I get it set up! Thank you kenn for bringing such an intuitive musical idea to my awareness
