Hello

While handling scalars containing both float and symbol types, I can't set symbols neither with [append] nor with [set]. I get something like "error: pd-scalar.name: not a number" instead. As I defined "name" as a symbol, is this normal ?

If I set the name in the properties window, then I can [get] it. But I can't figure out why append and set work with floats, not with symbols.

Any ideas?

Forget about it, thanks to the pd-list achives (and to HK from codelab.fr) I got the answer. [Append] doesn't seem to work with symbols.

But [set] works, provided that a the output of the append is relayed by a pointer, and that the argument -symbol is used : [set -symbol ... ... ].
