That's great Alberto, thanks. I think I met Davide at an Italian conference called CIARM back in the 1990s. Not so much Pd there, but I like the maths development and structure. The sections on coupled oscillators and FDN martixes have unique material, and the appendix is very useful. For 20 Euros the paper version is a bargain too.

However, i do have a question about the grain waveform formula on page 129.

gk(i) = wd(i)cos(2pifkTsI)

Does anyone know how can this be translated to pd speak?

Hey Domien,

It pretty much translates as this patch.

2*pi is implicit in Puredata signal domain [cos~]
w is a window function, shown on the left of the patch as a half cosine cycle
T is the time (duration) of the window
and f is the frequency

In the top equation of De Poli he means time position n - L is the position, in other words where the grain comes in the sequence.
