Hey Guys (Gals?),

I'm trying to make a tremelo for guitar, eventually to have PWM, exponential saw, and of course Sine.

My main problem so far is how to get the waves all to bottom out precisely at zero. I've generated my shapes and rounded them off wit [cos~] however, there's clicking! So, I throw a [lop~] in with its frequency set to that of the main LFO. Now, it sound superb but, LOP Cuts too much and my signal no longer bottoms out at zero. Bummer. Is their some sort of [*~] [+~] magic that I can add to make up for this, that can change dynamically according to frequency?

by trial and error i got:

there doesn't seem to be any need to change it dynamically.

Yeah, I just tried a bunch of stuff and came up with something as well. I'll post the Patch When I'm Done. I've been sick this week so I'm trying to turn my Powerbook into a (low latency, OSC, Linux) stompbox. Tremelo is one of the world's under-appreciated effects. I think it would also be really cool to use random dynamic waveforms for the LFO as well; such as something generated by cosinesum and read from an array. Anybody have any other Ideas?

obviously some nice distortions would be cool. i built a bunch of effects (which i'll post up here soon, with a nice framework to play them)...but my distortions all suck

I think I'll stick with analog distortion for now. Digital is very well suited for modulation and time-based stuff. I'll also get into some FFT stuff. Next up I think I'd like to experiment with so called "bit crushing." I'd like my Epiphone and fender twin to sound like a NES.
