hi

i'm using pd ext 0.39.3 on Mac OSX.

i'm not a total newbie but i'm not really good with pd, though i'd like to control processing through OpenSoundControl. and: the OSC library doesn't work on my macbook.

i tried everything: -lib OSC, downloaded the files and replaced the old with the new ones... but it keeps on not working, although there is some help files in the help browser.

any help ??

Ello there hows tricks? (remember me from the bidule forum?)

You might find that the library need to be put into the Startup panel in prefs

Pick any slot and put after the existing one there ':oscx' and when you restart Pd the lbrary should load. THen try creating an OSCroute object - if it instantiates then your all good to go

I agree its not the most intuitive way to admin the liraries.

i think that as i downloaded the library i need to download again pd extended and try what you told me...

mmm... i'm not really using pd for the moment... but as i'm learning it i enjoy it more and more. way more than bidule !

but that kind of s**t with pd is annoying... and i seriously think about switching on maxmsp.

OKAY thanks boonier, i downloaded the library again, replaced the files, did what you told me and it's ALL GOOD.

now i can do a generative sequencer for reaktor
