I just installed Pd version 0.39.3-extended on a PPC with Tiger 10.4.2 as operative system. When I launch it, read on the Pd window:

I am a new user of Pd (always used Max-Msp)... what's wrong?

i get all that too. hans said pdp was working on osx now, but a few people have said that it isn't.

but pdp is a graphics library (as far as i know) .. what do you want to use pd for? you probably don't even need pdp.

these error messages are harmless. just means that one library didn't load.

but you still have hundreds of other objects to play with

check and make sure you don't have any old preference files laying around in your ~/Library/Preferences folder. Pd for Mac now ships with this pref file inside the .app bundle. If you've used an older version of pd extended, you have to clear out this file. use spotlight to search for "pd plist" or "puredata plist" and you should find it. Pdp has recently been working on OSX (mine included).
