I am also using this version for some workshops :)

Any hope to merge those chances in official vanilla pd?

here is the proof that gemframebuffer clear everyframe even if single buffering is on:

@whale-av, I can also make a correct 4000x4000pixel pict if I change the size of the [gemwin] accordingly so I don't think it's a GFX card issue here.

When I go trough [gemframebuffer], wich enable to make an offscreen rendering without displaying in a such size, what I have got is only a single dot in correct 4000x4000px.
SO I guess the problem is [gemframebuffer] and single buffering uncompatibility.

@whale-av Thanks this is working with both solutions on my system. I don't know about the black square pb, on my system the file looks correct but the buffer resolution is stuck to 512x512, (the dimension of the gemwin buffer) even if the pix_snap object is set to 4000x4000... I tried to put a pix_info and I have got -1 for width and height strange.

    check the pict here:

    Thanks @whale-av!

And sorry, I think I didn't explained my problem correctly in my first post..

Actually exporting works in single buffering. But what I would like is being able to draw multiple shape and not cleaning the screen between drawing, like in a blackboard, then export the result. Here is an example, as you can see the exported picture have only one dot :)

    Hi,

I would like to know if there is a clever way to use [gemframebuffer] with single buffering mode in gem.

What I would like to achieve is to be able to export a HD picture in single buffering mode using the Gem/examples/02.advanced/09.SnapshotSaveHD.pd exemple from jack . here is the slightly modified patch with the problem if somebody got any idea would be nice :)

    Hi sdaau_ml

I am not aware of a vanilla way to do it (through a simple tcl plugin might be done)

but with iemguts externals you can use [receivecanvas] that will tell you all about the current canvas states (mouse, key etc...).

    [receivecanvas]
    |
    [route savetofile]
    |
    [print]

You will get a list with the name of the file and the path on save action.

    Cheers

Ouch that terrible SATA Apple SSD problem... I spend half of my life fixing this apple issue and finally ended putting SSD in Optical slot too... Changing the connector multiple time didn't fix it.
I am curious if upgrading to a more fresh OSX system might fix it but I guess not.

I supposed that you already tried wih different colorspace and adding [pix_rgba] after the [pix_video] ?

    Only [ml.anbc] couldn't be create.

Extended version of hcs library is also available through deken, so it's easier to get without downloading the full extended package on OSX.

Version 2.0 or 2.0.1 doesn't work for me neither, but 1.0.8 works in every pd distributions... I wish video objets will be available soon so it will replace the old Gem library and I could use it in my workshops!

Last but not least, what would be the best way to know that the replace process is finished? I think about a logical check... if the max_lines equal the actual line AND if the max length equal to max_length then the replace process is done. But it's a bit painfull with the [until] loops, I need to use [tof/streamMinMax] in order to get the maximum...

Thanks all for the clever clues!

I got rid of error message by checking the lines length with a simple [list length] like @ingox said... sometimes things are so simple you need to ask on a forum and then check back your code to see it's one or two object ahead! ;)

here is the result (it's a particular case, but it might help others...)

As for the xml tags, I will investigate detox thanks... I remember that with some xml it freezes my pd so I try to be careful.
