Hey girls and guys,

can you help me with following problem?

I did this easy patch and when I hit auto, it needs a second to start but then it's smooth.
If I want to scroll through the frames with the number box, sometimes the movie jumps a little bit, but doesn't follow my input at all.

I'm using the latest download of PD extended on WIndows 8.
Do you need more information?

Do you know this problem? Can you help me with it?

My guess is that the vid file you are using has some compression on it with sparse key frames. The result is when you skip to a random starting point, the codec loads the previous key frame and then has to step through building each frame until it arrives at your desired drop point. try unpacking the video into a format with lots of key frames. see if that has any effect?

Unfortunately there's another problem.The only Video I can load into pix_film seems to be with the following Codec:

All the other formats I tried didn't work. But I need to play Videos from different smartphones.

In the manuals I read it seems like it should be possible to play most formats which I can play back with VLC player.

How can I fix this problem?

@jonasbass You are maybe missing the codecs on your system.......
What is your OS?
Have you installed quicktime?
Have you updated your os media player for all codecs?
Have you installed a codec pack?

VLC famously claims that it will play "anything" but that does not mean that it will help Pure Data play "anything"
