I decided to post about it because I haven't seen the issue discussed anywhere else. If you have seen this issue discussed somewhere, let me know.

(Also, just for reference, I'm on Microso Windo xp).

Are you reading the latest help files? Because, when I right click on an object, and then choose Help, I get some help file. But is that the latest help file? In my case, I don't always get the right one...I often get the wrong one.

For example, if I create a new canvas, right click on it, and then choose Help, I get a help file called my_canvas-help.pd. But it's not the latest one.

The latest one lives in the 5.reference folder, i.e. .../pd/doc/5.reference.

So, if your Pd suffers from this issue, you can remedy this situation in the following way:

• right click on the object you are interested in.
• choose Help.
• when the help file appears, look at its name in the window, and use it for opening the latest version through Pd's Open functionality...you have to go to the the 5.reference folder, i.e. .../pd/doc/5.reference.
