Pix\_video white screen on Macbook Pro Retina

When using pix_video (either in my own patch or in any help file example) my iMac in work will use the iSight with no problem at all. If I load the same patch on my own Macbook Pro (Retina) I just get a white screen and this in the console window:

[pix_video]: backend #0='Darwin' : darwin dv iidc analog
could not make new SG channnel error -9405
[pix_video]: no valid video backend found

I'm using the same operating system on both machines (OSX 10.9.3) and I'm using PD-Extended in both cases.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Every thread that mentions it seems to have gone cold.

This is my first message on this board, I've only been using PD for about a week!

I use Macbook Pro Retina too. (OSX 10.9.2)

And mine seems to work. when I open the 'help' file of [pix_video], I could see my pretty face through the GEM window
I get this same message, but not the rest.
[pix_video]: backend #0='Darwin' : darwin dv iidc analog

How about reinstalling pd-extended?

I have the same problem, pix_video doesn't work and none of the pix_ family on my macbook pro retina...
Got this msg: [pix_video]: no valid video backend found
could not make new SG channnel error -9405

Anyone have any idea? I tried to reinstall already...nothing.

I'm using a MACBookPRO RETINA, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3, OSX 10.9.5

I'm on a MacBook Pro Rentina 2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7, 16Gb RAM and OSX 10.9.5

What about vanilla 0.46.7 + GEM installed via deken? I dont have similar machine to test though..

@JeremyV Hello Jeremy........ I have a problem with the facetime camera on a MacBook pro under windows......... and I have not managed to find a solution. It just crashes Pd when I select it.
I hope you will have better luck!
This was the last test patch that I built, which allowed me to change drivers etc. for the left hand source before trying to select the source. I had a "spout" virtual source (like "syphon" for the mac) as device 1, and that worked just fine.
Also I had a white screen for any completely non-existent device....... but I don't think that is your problem........
