I am new to pure data since reading up on TouchOSC and decided to give the two programs a go. I downloaded a pre made PD patch from 'http://hexler.net/docs/touchosc-setup-other' and found that with a few adjustments I was able to control the parameters in PD via TouchOSC on my iPhone. PD's input and output device is set to IAC driver in MIDI settings and the IAC driver is online. The TouchOSC layout used is named 'Simple'. I have attached the adjusted working patch bellow.

That part was pretty straight forward. The part that I am now struggling with is getting the exact same connection after creating a new PD patch and my own TouchOSC layout made with the TouchOSC editor.

I have used the exact same implications yet I am unable to control the faders in PD using my phone.

Could anyone possibly tell me where I am going wrong? How is it possible for one patch to connect when the other almost identical patch does nothing.

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

but with port 8000 because my touchosc device is configured with that port.
I tryed with mix 16 preset patch. so try with that. if it works the problem is in the touch osc editor side of the project.
that's my guess

It seems to work with all presets, which I find extremely frustrating! What on earth am I doing wrong in the TouchOSC editor I wonder?

The OSCroute object box has all of the correct names listed in relation to what the parameters are named on the editor so I am well and truly clueless.

Any further input would be great

I usually put the automatic function that gives the correct naming

So where I've put:

'OSCroute /rotary1 /rotary2 /fader1 /fader2 /rotary3 /rotary4 /rotary5 /fader3 /fader4'

I should have actually put:

'OSCroute /1/rotary3 /2/rotary5 /1/fader3 /1/fader4 /1/rotary6 /1/rotary10 /1/rotary11 /1/fader5 /1/fader10', which is what the parameters were automatically named in the TouchOSC editor?

I have just tried this and still I get nothing. Or have I misunderstood what you are saying?

Thanks for your replies I really appreciate it!

I guess the problem is in the touchosc custom layout.
The pd patch is ok.
I attached a picture to explain my previous message. If you compare a touchosc preset layout to your own you'll notice the difference.
