I just started using pure data yesterday, so the problem is undoubtably laughable, i have been playing with making a really simple patch for playing notes in key at random, it all works fine but when i save it close PD then open again the tables arnt being read, attached is the patch if anyone could explain it that would be amazing.

It seems to start working again with a bit of fiddling but i have literally no idea what im doing to make it work again thanks in advance, jerome

Attach [loadbang] to the message box that says [; melody 0 0 2 ...(. That will fill the table when you open the patch.

You can also save the table content by selecting "save contents" on the properties menu (right click on the table to go to this menu). This saves the last change you made on the table, and automatically loads anytime you open your patch.

Another thing might be helpful to know: on the same menu, you can adjust the X and Y ranges as well. This will give you a more clear visual of your table (the Y range of your table goes from 1 to -1, which is set by default, whereas the data you send to it goes up to 20, so you end up having a line ridiculously goes somewhere up on the screen).
