Been working on PD for a while on a windows laptop but now i've swapped to mac and cannot get midi output.

kilshaw posted somewhere else that:

"You need to go into Utilities, Audiomidi Setup, and make sure that your IAC (InterApplicationMidi) is online. Double click it and make sure IAC is ticked as being online. If you launch pd you should get the options in your midi prefs,
Hope that helps/ is useful,

I've done this and i do get the options in midi prefs, but when i test 'midi out' i get no tone and no patches work. Please can anyone help?

Regards

I'm using IAC bus to send midi data from PureData to Live and it works nicely.
(MacBookPro / 10.5.6 / Pd extended 0.40.3). Best

If you are using Live, sometimes there is a funny bug where midi doesnt get through (even thought the led in Live shows midi activity). I reboot solves this.

thanks
