<p>Apologies if I'm misunderstanding, but I believe this is normal behavior. Launching Pd by default produces only the console window. From there, Cmd-N would create a new patch window, or Cmd-O would open a patch file from disk.</p>

Yes, 'cmd N' brings up a New File:<br />
<img src="/uploads/files/1620812279580-new-file.screenshot-2021-05-12-at-10.35.57.png" alt="New file.Screenshot 2021-05-12 at 10.35.57.PNG" class="img-responsive img-markdown" /></p>
<p>but the file does not have the 2 necessary vital lines of info that the 'main.pd' file has:<br />
<img src="/uploads/files/1620812310422-vitallines.screenshot-2021-05-12-at-10.15.07.png" alt="VitalLines.Screenshot 2021-05-12 at 10.15.07.PNG" class="img-responsive img-markdown" /></p>
<p>or the Modules List:<br />
<img src="/uploads/files/1620812328294-modulespage.screenshot-2021-05-12-at-10.15.28.png" alt="ModulesPage.Screenshot 2021-05-12 at 10.15.28.PNG" class="img-responsive img-markdown" /></p>
<p>which normally appear with the 'main.pd' file:</p>

<p><a class="plugin-mentions-a" href="http://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/user/ingox">@ingox</a> Hi there!</p>
<p>Thank you SO much.</p>
<p>You reminded me that Automatonism is where I was originally working.</p>
<p>It's been several months &amp; I had forgotten.</p>
<p>No wonder I couldn't find my patches - I thought they had been deleted by mistake! I was looking in the wrong place for them.</p>
<p>Phew! What a relief &amp; thanks very much for putting me right <img class="emoji emoji-extended" src="http://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji-extended/images/flushed.png" title="flushed" alt=":flushed:" /> <img class="emoji emoji-extended" src="http://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji-extended/images/smiley.png" title="smiley" alt="" /> .<img class="emoji emoji-extended" src="http://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji-extended/images/smile.png" title="smile" alt="" /></p>
