It should be possible to load the latest Pd and than install Gem via Deken from within Pd. I was not able to use all Gem objects, since OpenGL was not standard in Raspi the last time i tried.

I'm on MacOS and I use Gem without Pd-extended. I just have to use Pd-Vanilla 32 bits (Pd-0.49-0-i386) and I've downloaded Gem via Help -> Find Externals -> Gem (in the research) and you choose the version from Deken Gem 0.93.3. Install it. Close Pure Data.
To load Gem when you're starting PureData : Open Pure data and go to Pd -> Preferences -> StartUp . In the StartUp Flags you tape Gem, 'Enter' and you juste have to close Pd and re-open and you can use Gem.
With cmd+B, you open the Help Browser and you have a Gem section with all the help you'll need to understand Gem (I've started two months ago).
Have Fun !

I went via help, find externals, Gem and choose 'Gem-v0.93.3...'
there are three items that say 'deken-plugin' perhaps I click one of them?

Then I went via preferences startup and in the Startup flags: 'home/pi/Gem' then clicked apply

when i re opened however the conole says

home/pi/Gem: can't open

why is that ? It appears to be all there? And thank you very much for your responses !

Pd extended, but more likely to work.
If it still doesn't work then you do not have a working version of OpenGL for your Pi...... and you should google the RPI and the "gamer" forums for help.
Your problems are.... OpenGL.... Pd and GEM compiled for your processor...... 64/32-bit compatibility between Pd, Gem, and the OS.......... and the debian version (armhf?) working with each different Rpi by using different kernels......... https://wiki.debian.org/RaspberryPi
Maybe check this first if you have a RPI3....... http://www.raspberryconnect.com/gamessoftware/item/314-trying_out_opengl_on_raspberry_pi_3
The horrible truth is that GEM is old..... so will run badly on older RPI's that it was built for...... and would run much better on a newer RPI...... but might not run at all because it hasn't been updated.
Or you could go down a couple of other rabbit holes.....
