You should definitely keep the [playvol] window closed.... any screen re-draws can cause such problems, and so the slider is a prime suspect.  You can try adjusting your audio settings for Pd........ relaxing the latency setting (delay-ms) by increasing the value.<br />
It is always worth &quot;tuning&quot; your computer for audio......<br />
