Now my pc is broken and all I have left is the hard disk. I tried to open the files from the pd folder in my disk in another computer trough pd but I cannot find them anymore.
I've been told that the patches I tought were the patch file where actually shortcuts to another directory. Is there anyway I can recover my patches , or are they missing for ever ??

If you think there was any chance that they were deleted then do not write to the disk at all, and then google for how to recover deleted files..... it is usually possible.
If there is any chance that the disk is damaged then make a complete copy first, and then work with the copy...
What was the operating system you were using, and how are you looking at the disk.... a usb enclosure? or running the disc in the other computer? Using what operating system to look at the disk?
