I don't know if this exists or not but it would be great if it did.

I recently came across the UP by Jawbone (some sort of exercise measuring device) and I was wondering if it's possible to get the information out of it and into a DAW like Ableton, to create a relatively cheap wearable control....

Any ideas or tips would be great.

Many thanks
Toby

Someone gave me a secondhand one, so I thought I could use it with some music, but alas... I can't.

It's more to do with how the device gives out information, or rather doesn't give it out. The UP has to be used first, whilst it stores information and then you download it later. I mean you could still use the data to make some cool "a day in the life" piece but I really wanted to get something I could wear to control settings inside of Ableton. At the moment I use a WiiMote that has been modified, but it's a bit clunky (size-wise). Someone said to try their UP, but no luck. I think other Bluetooth enabled wristbands do exist, so maybe if someone lends me one of those I'll try again.

Thanks,
Toby
